JULY HEALTH TIPS

GROUND TURKEY

An increasingly popular alternative to ground beef, lean ground turkey meets your body's protein needs without the excess calories and cholesterol. Great for those summer barbeques and all year round as a substitute for popular beef dishes.

PROBIOTICS

Probiotics, known as a good bcteria, influence your overall health, digestion and immune system and can be supplemented by juice, frozen yogurt and granola in addition to a number of supplements.

PAPAYA

The tropical fruit papaya contains vitamin C, A, and E and also contains unique enzimes that are useful in promoting good digestion.

CINNAMON

Cinnamon has one of the highest anitoxidant levels of of any other spice. It also improves insulin sensitivity leading to better blood sugar control.

PSYLLIUM

Psyllium is a soluble fiber primarily used as a laxative that also can help lower cholesterol and help regulate blood sugar levels in diabetics.

CREATINE

Creatine is thought to improve strength, increase lean muscle mass, and hep muscles recover quickly after a workout.

NEEM OIL

Used in India for hundreds of years, Neem Oil has powerful curative properties ranging from anti-fungal to anti-inflammatory and anti-septic. Commonly found to prevent infections in cuts and wounds.

CITRONELLA OIL

Citronella oil is an essential oil commonly known as a nontoxic mosquito repellant. This diverse oil can also be used as an anti-inflammatory, anti septic and a deodorant

EVENING PRIMROSE OIL

Evening primrose oil is a dietary supplement packed with essential omega-6 fatty acids. It has become a popular supplement for women going through menopause and hormone related complications.

ALOE VERA

Great for summertime sun burns, Aloe Vera has a long history of being used topically to sooth first and second degree burns. Now it’s found in just about every skin and hair product on the market for its ability to supply oxygen to skin cells.

L-LYSINE

Lysine is an essential amino acid that helps convert fatty acids into energy and keep blood cholesterol levels low. It’s also important for bone health, helping you absorb calcium.
